I grew up in Riverside from grades 1 through 12 and am accustomed to being part of an active, community serving family. This has provided me with a good background for doing business in our fair city. After being chosen by American Field Service Exchange Program to have an extended educational stay in Japan while in high School, I decided to study International Relations. I attended Scripps College in Claremont, CA, where, after having another year studying in Japan, I received my BA in International Relations and Japanese. Subsequently I have worked and lived in LA, Palm Desert, Concord and San Diego before returning to Riverside with my husband and children. My work experiences range from travel services, securities & banking, hotel and hospitality and elementary school teaching. Since returning to Riverside, I have become involved with the local community again. Besides being active in the Newcomers Club and helping my husband, Bob, with his Sunshine Rotary Club, I am President of the Magnolia Elementary PTA Board where my sons attend school. I have also served at the Riverside PTA Council level as the Reflections Program Chair. My membership in the Junior League of Riverside provides me with social and community service opportunities. A recent activity shared with my husband, Bob, is long distance bicycling with the Riverside Bicycle Club. It is great exercise and great fun.
